The last image Sooner Nation has of tight end Bauer Sharp is him desperately heaving a pass during a failed trick play that ended as an interception for LSU. Unfortunately for Bauer, that's also the only real memory his new teammates have of him.
Sharp transferred from OU to LSU this offseason, and Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier on Monday at SEC Media Days admitted that he and his LSU teammates still clown on Sharp for the debacle they had a front-row seat for last season.
Bauer Sharp transferred to LSU but his trick-play disaster followed him
First, here's another look at that disastrous trick play that Joe Jon Finley called for his guy.

Sage Ryan, the defensive back who caught Sharp's interception, has since transferred to Ole Miss, but the play still wasn't forgotten. And, according to Nussmeier, it hasn't just been brought up once or twice, but "all the time." A replay of the interception even popped up on Nussmeier's TikTok recently, and he of course immediately sent it to Sharp.
OU Nightly Sports' Andrew West asked Nussmeier about the play during the first day of SEC Media Days in Atlanta, Georgia, to prompt the response.
"It's funny," Nussmeier said. "Sometimes we tell him he did it on purpose because he knew he was coming here and stuff like that. So we like to mess with him about it. Obviously it's not a very fond moment for him, but he's a tight end not a quarterback, so I'm excited to see what he's able to do this year."

Despite that terrible mistake, Sharp still led the Sooners with 42 receptions and 324 receiving yards last season as OU suffered constant injuries at wide receiver while shuffling between two young quarterbacks.
Sharp's first season at LSU will be his last year of eligibility. He will return to OU with LSU on Nov. 29 for the Sooners' regular-season finale in Norman.
