Oklahoma women's basketball coach Jennie Baranczyk went 0 to 100 real quick.

Baranczyk's 3-seed Sooners beat the 14-seed Florida Gulf Coast Eagles 81-58 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center. OU advanced to play the 6-seed Iowa Hawkeyes in the second round on Monday in Norman.

The first-round victory gave Baranczyk her 100th win as OU's women's basketball coach. Reaching the feat in her 133rd game, Baranczyk reached the milestone quicker than any other OU head coach. The Sooners are 100-33 under Baranczyk.

Baranczyk, the ninth women's basketball coach in OU history, is only the third to reach 100 wins. The first was Maura McHugh, who finished her time at OU 142-70 in seven seasons. Next was Sherri Coale, who is the winningest coach in program history at 513-294 in 25 seasons.

In four years leading OU, Baranczyk has never guided the Sooners to less than 20 wins in a season. The Sooners were 25-9 in Baranczyk's first season at the helm, followed by 26-7, then 23-10.

This season, the Sooners are 26-7 while still on their NCAA Tournament run. A victory over Iowa on Monday to advance to the Sweet 16 would not only be the most wins for Baranczyk while at OU, but also the first time she'd get the Sooners past the second round, where they've lost the past three years.

Baranczyk came to OU in 2021 after nine seasons at Drake, where she was 192-96 while leading the Bulldogs to six straight 20-win seasons and to the NCAA Tournament three times.
