Oklahoma’s latest conference series against Arkansas turned out to be its sixth SEC victory despite a loss on Saturday by a single run. Not wanting their recent hiccups to continue, the Sooners brutally mercy-ruled the Razorbacks in the Sunday finale.

Seven runs scored in the last three games all had one thing in common, which was a strong showing by Isabela Emerling at the plate. The senior catcher pulled off a remarkable feat when she hit a home run on each day the Sooners faced the No. 6 Razorbacks.

In the nailbiter on Friday, when OU came from behind for an 8-7 win, the Sooners trailed by two runs until Emerling launched her ninth career grand slam in the third inning. Her next dinger came as the silver lining in the loss on Saturday, when she tied the game with a solo blast in the bottom of the fifth inning. With the teams tied with 10 runs from the last two games heading into Sunday, Emerling’s two-RBI bomb in the first inning set the stage for an 11-run surge where the Sooners overwhelmed the Hogs to end the game in just five frames.

Emerling is the second Oklahoma player this season to homer in all games of a conference series since fellow catcher and current NCAA home runs leader Kendall Wells did against Kentucky, but what truly makes this impressive is that two of those put Emerling in elite company among the only 10 allowed so far by Arkansas ace Robyn Herron.

Emerling has smacked 17 home runs, which makes her the fourth highest on the team, only behind Ella Parker, Gabbie Garcia, and Wells, while also eclipsing the 12 total from her first season at Oklahoma last year and the 14 from her sophomore campaign at North Carolina in 2024.
