For the first time in four years, Sooner Nation can watch the Oklahoma men's basketball team play in the NCAA Tournament.

The 9-seed Sooners will play the 8-seed UConn Huskies in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night as one of the last games of the opening round.

The Huskies have won the last two national championships, but are not the same this year. This season, UConn is 23-10 and went 14-6 in the Big East. However, any team coached by Dan Hurley is dangerous in March Madness.

While the Huskies were cutting down the nets, the Sooners weren't even getting in to try. This is OU's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2021 and first time under head coach Porter Moser. The Sooners snuck into the field of 68 thanks to a late three-game winning streak and enter the tourney at 20-13 after enduring an SEC that sent 14 teams dancing.

The winner of OU and UConn will likely get the 1-seed Florida Gators in the second round on Sunday unless 16-seed Norfolk State pulls off a miracle upset. The Gators just won the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament and are one of the most popular picks to win this tournament, too.

OU already played Florida once before this season and was blown out 85-63 in Gainesville.

Here's all the onfo you need to watch OU and UConn, as well as their possible next opponents.
