Need to know
The Oklahoma Sooners are coming off an up and down week. The Sooners suffered an 81-77 upset at Mississippi State in their last midweek game. They returned home and rebounded, though, with a 77-62 win over Texas A&M on Sunday.
The 1-1 week dropped OU three spots in the latest Associated Press Top 25 to No. 13. The Sooners were rising steady through a successful nonconference slate, but have been up and down early in SEC play at 2-2.
It's been all down for Missouri, though. At 11-8 overall, the Tigers are still looking for their first conference win at 0-4 in SEC action.
Thursday night is not a sure win for the Sooners, though. No game in the SEC is a lock, but OU could also be without its best player, center Raegan Beers. Beers left Sunday's game early because of a shoulder injury, and on Wednesday during a press conference, OU coach Jennie Baranczyk said Beers was considered "day to day" and hadn't practiced all week.
Beers is OU's leading scorer with a 17.2 average through 17 games. She also averages 9.2 rebounds a game.
