How to watch, full schedule for second round of SEC Men's Basketball Tournament

On to Day 2 of the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee.

March Madness tipped off Wednesday for the SEC men with four first-round games. On Thursday, those 5-8 seeds that waited now get the winners in the second round.

With the new 16-team bracket, 5-8 seeds Texas A&M, Kentucky, Missouri and Ole Miss, respectively, got first-round byes so got to rest Wednesday. Top four seeds Auburn, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee get to rest two days and won't play until Friday in the quarterfinals. Everyone else has already battled.

How to watch

The tournament almost started with a distaster for Arkansas as it nearly blew a 20-point lead to 16 seed South Carolina before surviving 72-68. The Gamecocks had just beaten Arkansas earlier this month, and another terrible deficit might have shattered the Razorbacks' NCAA Tournament chances that now seem to be locked up.

Next, 9 seed Arkansas gets 8 seed Ole Miss, with the winner getting rewarded with 1 seed Auburn.

Texas is in fourth-quarter Hail Mary mode to get into the NCAA Tournament. Step 1 was beating Vanderbilt in the first round, and now a win against 5 seed Texas A&M in the second round could very well give the SEC 14 NCAA Tournament teams come Selection Sunday.

The winner of the Lone Star State showdown will play 4 seed Tennessee.

Mississippi State had no problems with LSU in the first round with a 91-62 win. The Bulldogs had been struggling before then, though, and LSU is actually the only team they've beaten in the month of March. However, Missouri has lost three in a row.

This is a game between two teams destined to go dancing but need to get back on track before getting there.

For really the first time all season, the Sooners will play without any worry of getting into the NCAA Tournament after presumably punching their ticket with an 81-75 win over Georgia in the first round.

OU and Kentucky met in a barnburner just a few weeks ago in Norman. Otega Oweh eventually hit a game-winner with six seconds left to seal things for Kentucky, 83-82.
