The Oklahoma softball team will get its first experience in an SEC environment this weekend.
The No. 1 Sooners will take their first SEC road trip for a weekend series against the No. 15 Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville, Arkansas, which is OU's shortest trek in the conference.
OU started its SEC era last weekend with a sweep of then-No. 10 South Carolina at Love's Field. The Sooners and Gamecocks entered the weekend as the last two undefeated teams left in Division-I softball, but South Carolina left Norman on a three-game losing streak and OU still perfect.
The Sooners have added another win since then after beating Tulsa 10-2 on Wednesday down the road in T-Town. That bolstered OU's record to 23-0 to start the season.
Arkansas is 20-3 after dropping two of three to Ole Miss in its SEC opener last weekend. The Razorbacks got the week off before hosting the Sooners.
The schedule for the series was shifted because of weather, with Friday's game postponed and creating a doubleheader for Saturday.
