March isn't just for college basketball.
March Matness starts this week with conference wrestling tournaments around the country, including in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Big 12 Wrestling Championships will be Saturday and Sunday at BOK Center.
The Big 12 wrestling tournament is made up of a smorgasbord of 14 teams from different conferences from coast to coast. The conference includes legacy Big 12 members Oklahoma State, Iowa State, West Virginia and newcomer Arizona State.
Additionally, the SEC's Oklahoma and Missouri, both former members of the Big 12, are still affiliate members of the conference for wrestling since SEC does not have the sport and they're the only schools with wrestling teams.
Other affiliate members from out west include Air Force, California Baptist, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, Utah Valley and Wyoming.
Two weeks after the Big 12 Wrestling Championships, qualifying wrestlers and teams will compete in the NCAA Wrestling Championships on March 20-22 in Philadelphia.
