Former Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown will spend at least one more season in Chiefs Kingdom.

NFL.com reported Saturday that the Kansas City Chiefs re-signed Brown to a one-year contract. The deal is reportedly worth up to $11 million.

Brown just finished his first season with the Chiefs after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. He played in just two regular-season games because of injury. Brown then returned in the NFL Playoffs and caught five passes for 50 yards in three games.

The Chiefs want to keep Brown around because of his speed and big-play ability with Patrick Mahomes' cannon at quarterback.

Kansas City is Brown's third stop during his six-year NFL career. The Baltimore Ravens drafted Brown with the 25th overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the Ravens before re-joining former OU teammate and quarterback Kyler Murray at the Arizona Cardinals for two seasons.

Brown had a career-high 1,008 receiving yards in his last season with the Ravens in 2021. It's the only season he's had more than 1,000 receiving yards in the NFL.

In two seasons at OU, Brown totalled 132 receptions, 2,413 yards and 17 touchdowns. He surpassed 1,000 receiving yards both seasons with 1,318 as a junior in 2018 while Murray won the Heisman Trophy.

After no Division-I offers out of high school, Brown transferred to OU after one year at College of the Canyons, a junior college in California. He didn't get a scholarship from College of the Canyons so worked at Six Flags to make ends meet. Now, Brown is making $11 million this year to play football.
