Wide receiver Trejan Bridges’ winding college road came to a dead end.
Six years and three stops later, On3’s Pete Nakos reported Thursday that Bridges’ eligibility waivers were denied by the NCAA, promptly ending his college career and forcing him to now work out for NFL teams as a tremendous talent who never really got going. Bridges started his career at Oklahoma in 2019 as a five-star signee and was with the Sooners until Lincoln Riley dismissed him after getting arrested in 2021.

Bridges basically confirmed Nakos' report by sharing it on social media.
"I’ll be ready for the opportunity presents itself," Bridges wrote. "Either way, blessed! GodSpeed!"

In two years at OU, Bridges played in 15 games, catching nine passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns while dealing with injuries. He also played some safety.
Bridges and two OU teammates allegedly robbed and beat a local drug dealer while playing for the Sooners. Riley ultimately dismissed all three players.
After he was dismissed from the Sooners, Bridges didn’t play for a year before getting to East Los Angeles College in 2021. He then committed to Utah, but ultimately ended up at Central Arkansas. Bridges led Central Arkansas with 53 receptions, 729 yards and six touchdowns last season.
Bridges entered the Transfer Portal after last season, and according to Nakos, OU was a program interested in adding Bridges for this season. However, eligibility waivers apparently got in the way, and now there’s no way he returns to the Sooners for a second chance under a new coaching staff.
