Nic Anderson has been in the transfer portal officially for less than 24 hours but is already narrowing down where he'll play next.

Mike Roach of 247Sports reported Monday that Anderson is down to three choices, all in the SEC: LSU, Ole Miss and Florida.

247Sports ranks Anderson as the No. 2 wide receiver in the transfer portal right now. That's an upgrade compared to the three-star rating that the recruiting service gave Anderson out of Katy, Texas, in 2022.

Anderson redshirted his first year at OU before exploding as a redshirt freshman last season. He caught more passes than any Sooners freshman receiver ever before with 38. He also had 798 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

The highlight of Anderson's time as a Sooner was catching the game-winning touchdown to beat Texas in last year's Red River Rivalry. Now, both of the players from that magical moment -- Anderson and Dillon Gabriel -- have left Norman through the transfer portal.

Despite the outstanding freshman campaign, though, Anderson just concluded a disappointing regular season. He played only a few snaps in one game this season because of an injury, which OU coach Brent Venables described as a "significant tear" to Anderson's quad. He didn't record any snaps.

Anderson will likely be able to get a medical redshirt for this season so will have three years of eligibility left wherever he goes next.

Considering what he did as a freshman and with his size at 6-foot-4, Anderson will have his pickings at where to go as one of the hottest receivers available.

Jaquaize Pettaway was another receiver OU has lost to the transfer portal so far. The portal did not officially open until Monday, though.
