Florida State's introduction of Gavin Sawchuk included a glaring mistake OU fans immediately caught

How did they not notice?

Florida State literally has no idea who it's getting in new running back Gavin Sawchuk.

The Seminoles on Sunday announced via X the signing of Sawchuk, who just transferred from the Oklahoma Sooners. FSU used a graphic with a photoshopped jersey swap to introduce Sawchuk, but there was an obvious mistake.

I don't know who that guy is, but it's not Gavin Sawchuk. Sooner Nation immediately noticed the mishap, but apparently FSU still hasn't, or just doesn't care, because the post was still up over 24 hours later.

Florida State uses wrong image in Sawchuk announcement

Sooner Nation got familiar with Sawchuk after he spent three years at OU. He was the Sooners' leading rusher in 2023 with 744 yards and nine touchdowns.

Sawchuk's touches drastically decreased last season, though, dropping from 120 carries to only 39. That ultimately led to Sawchuk looking elsewhere for more opportunities.

The final push out the door for Sawchuk was the Sooners adding Jaydn Ott from the transfer portal. From Cal, Ott was the No. 1 running back available in the transfer portal. Ott will assume OU's lead back role and made an already full running back room at OU even more crowded.

Considering the circumstances, there were no hard feelings from Sooner Nation toward Sawchuk for leaving. And it's a good landing spot where he could immediately compete to be the top running back. However, Sawchuk's transfer announcement was overshadowed by the omission and Sooner Nation still made it known.

Kind of looks like it. ...

Looking back, Sawchuk actually probably should had contacted Hayes Fawcett.
