Two Sooners have the chance to wear the interlocking OU one more time on their helmets.
The 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl is nearing on Feb. 1 in Mobile, Alabama, and two former Oklahoma Sooners got invites to play: Billy Bowman Jr. and Danny Stutsman.
So far, Bowman is the only one of the pair to accept his invite, according to the Senior Bowl's website. Bowman started 41 games at defensive back during his four seasons as a Sooner. He tallied 195 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 11 interceptions, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 14 pass breakups. Three of his picks were returned for TDs.
Stutsman still has not officially accepted his invite, and this showcase could be beneficial for Stutsman as many NFL Draft projections have him slipping outside of the second round. At this point, with practices starting early next week, it's unlikely Stutsman will participate, but he has not said why.
Stutsman and Bowman also sat out of the Armed Forces Bowl against Navy.
Just behind Bowman, Stutsman started 37 games in his career and became a staple at linebacker for the Sooners. He finished his senior season as a consensus All-American and Butkus Award finalist.
Stutsman recorded 376 tackles, 40 tackles for loss , eight sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and eight pass breakups in his college career.
Practices for the Senior Bowl will start Tuesday and last until that Thursday, Jan. 30. The game will be at 1:30 p.m. CT Saturday, Feb.1, and will be televised on NFL Network.
Last year, offensive linemen Tyler Guyton and Andrew Raym represented the Sooners in the Senior Bowl.
