ESPN College GameDay did the Oklahoma Sooners a massive favor with its choice for the show's celebrity guest picker on Friday night.
ESPN on Thursday announced that OU legendary linebacker Brian "The Boz" Bosworth will be College GameDay's guest picker with the show in Norman on Friday before the No. 8 Sooners host No. 9 Alabama for a rematch in the first round of the College Football Playoff. It was also announced former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel will be Saturday's guest picker in College Station ahead of the No. 7 Aggies against No. 10 Miami.

Friday will be a day like no other in Norman for the first home playoff game in OU history, including for College GameDay. ESPN is putting on two shows in two different states within hours of each other to cover the first round of the CFP.
Friday will be the most unique setting for the show. College football fans are accustomed to waking up Saturday morning to watch GameDay, but on Friday, it will be on as you get home from work at 5 p.m. CT. The stage will be set on the South Oval of OU's campus before moving to inside of Memorial Stadium at 6 p.m. for the final hour of the show, including predictions from Bosworth and the rest of the cast.
There's no figure in OU lure more polarizing than The Boz. Even OU head coach Brent Venables has admitted to being in awe of Bosworth before. The man doesn't even have to go by his real name. It's even more fitting that this 2025 team led by Venables' elite defense mirrors how The Boz played back when he won a national championship in 1985.
With College GameDay setting up inside Memorial Stadium, that means predictions will be made just moments before kickoff in front of all 83,000-plus fans who will cram into the venue on Friday night. As if the magnitude of the game itself wasn't enough to get OU fans jacked, the perfect final scene will be when The Boz proclaims why the Sooners will beat Bama again right in front of Nick Saban.
ITS GO TIME!! WE NEED YOU BOZ!! LETS GET IT!! 💪🏾 @OU_Football @GotBoz44 pic.twitter.com/6cwzkVlMDF
