The Sooners and Brent Venables are getting things done on the recruiting trail that Oklahoma fans have not seen before. In case you missed it, with the most-recent pledges, the Sooners hold the No. 1 class in the country and it looks like things are about to get even sweeter for the coaching staff. That's because all eyes are now on pass-rusher Uhila Wolfgramm.

Oklahoma is using homegrown talent for 2027's best class in the country

The 4-star EDGE just returned home from a trip to Norman and it looks like OU is in the driver's seat. That's because both Greg Biggins and Steve Wiltfong have locked in their official predictions for the Sooners to pull off this big-time recruiting win. Could we expect some breaking news to arrive in the coming days?

Oklahoma is the clear-cut favorite to land 4-star talent Uhila Wolfgramm

As you can see from the photos he posted above, the 6-3, 245-pounder was loving life while visiting the SEC program. Venables and the Oklahoma coaches rolled out the red carpet for everyone in town, and with the Sooners being a top contender for Wolfgramm leading up to his visit, his two days on campus sure helped raise the bar.

Normally, when Wiltfong and Biggins put in their predictions like this, it doesn't take long for some breaking news to arrive. Should that happen, it'd certainly be a monster get for the Sooners. Per the 247Sports Composite, Wolfgramm, a Utah product, is ranked four stars and the No. 33 EDGE in the country. He's also the No. 4 player from Utah.

Throughout his recruitment, the top Oklahoma target has picked up offers from the Sooners, Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, UCLA, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina and many others. Oklahoma, UCLA and BYU emerged as the main threats to grab his verbal pledge, but now it's Oklahoma who looks to have the best chance of closing things out.

In the past couple of days, Venables has been red hot out on the trail, grabbing the commitments of running back Jakoby Dixon and in-state cornerback Gabriel Osborne Jr. The Osborne news was electric, as both Ohio State and Alabama were hoping to pull a fast one on Venables, but those efforts ended up being a waste of time.

Will the same be said for BYU and UCLA when it comes to Wolfgramm? When it comes to recruiting, things can always change at any moment, but there sure is a lot of optimism that Venables is going to get the news he wants from the big-bodied stud. He's 100 percent on commit watch moving forward.
