Bedlam still lives on the hardwood.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports on Thursday reported that a date has been set for the 2025 men's basketball edition of Bedlam, again at a neutral site. According to Rothstein, the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys will meet on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, home of the OKC Thunder.

Jon Rothstein reports Bedlam basketball has a date for 2025

It will be the second year in a row Bedlam will be at Paycom Center in December. The rivalry was reduced to one game at a neutral site after OU left the Big 12 for the SEC last summer.

Last season, the Sooners thumped OSU 80-65 in the midst of a perfect 13-0 start during nonconference play. The Sooners went on to struggle throughout SEC play before slipping into the NCAA Tournament as a 9-seed. The Cowboys, meanwhile, had a losing record and ended up in the NIT.

Oklahoma native Sam Godwin led all scorers with 20 points in the Sooners' win. OU star freshman Jeremiah Fears, who's now headed to the NBA, dropped 17 points. Neither will play in the next Bedlam, though. In 2025, once again, both teams will have almost entirely new rosters.

Bedlam in 2024 drew a crowd of 10,300 to Paycom Center. It was the 10th-largest crowd OU played in front of last season, but would have been the second-largest home crowd at Lloyd Noble Center, only behind a Red River Rivalry matchup against Texas.
