Bedlam keeps clawing back into our lives.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State announced together on Thursday that Bedlam will return in women's basketball next season. Paycom Center in Oklahoma City will host a Bedlam doubleheader on Saturday, Dec. 13, when OU and OSU's men's and women's basketball teams will play back-to-back.
According to OU's release, fans will be able to watch both games with one ticket.
OU, OSU will play again in women's basketball
OU and OSU didn't meet last season in women's basketball after the Sooners left for the SEC and the Cowgirls stayed in the Big 12. It would have been a big-time matchup, though, as both squads were top-25 teams throughout the season and made the NCAA Tournament.
The men still met in a nonconference matchup, though, at Paycom Center. The Sooners beat OSU 80-65 in front of 10,300 fans. The venue has a capacity of about 18,000, so hopefully having two games increases attendance.
"It was an incredible experience for Oklahoma City to fill the arena with both OSU and OU fans in 2024," said Paycom Center general manager Chris Semrau in a statement. "We are honored to not only continue to host the Bedlam tradition but also expand it by adding the women's game."
Tickets for the doubleheader will go on sale at 10 a.m. CT on Friday, Aug. 1. Tip-off times have not been announced yet.
