Oklahoma fans can start dreaming about having another Adrian Peterson in crimson and cream someday.
Adrian Peterson Jr., the son of the OU legend, has recently went viral because of a highlight video and some jaw-dropping times on the track that has made it clear he's destined for big-time college football like his father, and hopefully he's also a Sooner one day. He's already drawing attention as a middle schooler with an early offer on the table.
Adrian Peterson Jr. is already on track to be a Sooner himself
Peterson, who's only 14 and still in middle school, recently posted a video from a track meet claiming he broke two school records with a 10.7 in the 100 meter and 22.07 in the 200. His father even jokingly commented on the video, "Dang… I'm not claiming it yet, but I'm not sure I'd win if we raced right now haha."
In finals today I was able to break the School record in the 100 with a 10.7 and also break the school record in the 200 with a 22.07 . Me and my 4x1 team also broke the district record with a 43.82 came home with all gold ! @RPHS_FB @CoachSethHarris @Coach_LaFavers pic.twitter.com/KtXdCpVieO

Peterson also plays baseball, but he shines the most on a football field while playing wide receiver and running back like his father. It's clear he was gifted incredible genetics from his dad, not only by his athleticism, but he's already listed at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds before even starting high school yet.
A highlight video of Peterson competing at a 7-on-7 event recently went viral as he showed off his ability.

It's obviously extremely early, but it's fair to assume Peterson will be a top prospect in the 2030 class based on his size and athleticism, plus his DNA. He actually already announced his first offer on Tuesday from FCS Missouri State before he's even played a snap of high school football in Texas. And when he does eventually rise as a big-time recruit, the Sooners already have an advantage.
Adrian Peterson is considered one of the greatest running backs of all-time after exploding onto the scene as a freshman at OU in 2004 after signing as the highest-rated recruit in Sooners history. He was eventually a three-time First-Team All-Big 12 selection while rushing for at least 1,000 yards all three seasons. He then went on to lead the NFL in rushing yards three times and was NFL MVP in 2012.
AD was famously known as "All Day," so maybe his second coming could be the Sooners' "All Night."
