All the returning talent is reason for Oklahoma fans to be excited for the Sooners' future, even after a deflating end to the 2026 season, but there's still also plenty head coach Patty Gasso is losing from her roster. The Sooners graduate five seniors from their 2026 roster, including three consistent starters that will need to be replaced and a pair of pitchers.

Here's a more detailed look at everyone who won't be back as the Sooners in 2027 try to restart a new Women's College World Series streak. This also doesn't include losses to the transfer portal, which the Sooners so far have three of.

Ailana Agbayani became a staple at second base the last two years for the Sooners after transferring from BYU. Now, she'll start her pro career after getting drafted in the third round of the 2026 AUSL Draft by the Chicago Bandits.

Agbayani this season posted an impressive .362 batting average with seven home runs while playing in 61 of 62 games. She was even better out in the field, though, as the 2025 Rawlings Gold Glove winner at second base and a 2025 SEC All-Defensive Team selection.

Sydney Berzon was the Sooners' biggest win out of the transfer portal a year ago when she left LSU with the expectations to replace Sam Landry as OU's new ace. Things didn't quite go according to plan, though.

In her lone season with the Sooners, Berzon had a 2.63 ERA and 6-2 record while striking out 36 in 25 appearances and 10 starts. Ultimately, left-handed sophomore Audrey Lowry instead emerged as the Sooners' new ace while earning Second-Team All-SEC honors. Berzon contributed to OU's inconsistent pitching staff that got much of the blame for not reaching the WCWS.

A year later, the Sooners are again looking for an ace in the portal with Berzon's spot now open.

Abby Dayton has been another pillar for the Sooners in the outfield with 114 starts over the last two seasons after beginning her career at Utah. She was Second-Team All-SEC this season after hitting .386 with eight home runs, 43 RBI, 51 runs and seven stolen bases. She was another vital asset in the field with a perfect fielding percentage in 2025 and .960 this season.

The Sooners have enough talent already on their roster to slot into Dayton's spot, but they could also use the portal if there's a big name available.

Kierston Deal leaves OU as a two-time national champion after spending her entire four-year career with the Sooners. She had a 7.50 ERA and 2-0 record in 16 appearances this season.

One of the talented incoming pitchers from the 2026 signing class will gladly take Deal's innings in the circle to start developing.

Isabela Emerling's importance to the team sometimes went unnoticed since her freshman position mate Kendall Wells was chasing home run history, but she had a quiet breakout season in her second year at OU after switching to first base with Wells taking over behind the dish. Emerling was Second-Team All-SEC after batting .404 with 20 homers and 62 RBI in 56 games with 42 starts.

As great as Emerling was in 2026, though, the Sooners still won't have any problems moving forward with Wells returning and No. 2 2027 commit Goose Hutchens expected to come in early.
