The Oklahoma Sooners got one great season out of guard Nijel Pack, but now it's already time for head coach Porter Moser to search the Transfer Portal for Pack's replacement.

The Sooners landed Pack out of the portal this time last year after he left Miami (FL). He brought a lot to the table for the Sooners as a point guard that could shoot well from beyond the arc with a ton of Power Four experience between Miami and Kansas State. All those benefits gave OU its leading scorer with 16.8 points a game and 123 makes from three-point range while shooting 44.7%.

It will take a rare player to replace Pack next season, but there are players in the Transfer Portal that fit the mold as guards with Power Four experience that can handle the ball well and also shoot.

Skyy Clark has gained valuable experience at three big-time programs in Illinois, Louisville and UCLA. He spent the last two years starting for UCLA while averaging 11.5 points this past season and shooting a staggering 42.7% from three-point range. He would need to shoot more as Sooner as a career 41.2% three-point shooter with an underwhelming 53 makes this season. All the ingredients are there, though, for Clark to step into Pack's shoes.

After two great years at Colorado State, Kyan Evans spent a season mostly coming off the bench for North Carolina with 17 starts in 33 games. He made just 32 three-pointers this season, but in his final season at Colorado State, Evans drained 70 from beyond the arc as a career 38.3% three-point shooter. Evans has that shooting ability with three NCAA Tournament appearances under his belt.

Jackson Shelstad is the biggest name on this list with a load of schools already after him. Like Pack, Shelstad is also coming off a shortened season because of injury after appearing in only 12 games this season. He still averaged 15.6 points when healthy, though. In 2024-25, he put up 13.7 points a game while shooting 37.9% from deep with 66 makes. After three years in Oregon, Shelstad has 77 career starts.
