Sun Bowl (3-0)

1981: Oklahoma 40 Houston 14

1993: Oklahoma 41 Texas Tech 10

2009: Oklahoma 31 Stanford 27

Oklahoma did not recover well from losing the 2009 BCS Championship game to Florida, primarily because Sam Bradford left to become the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. Without Bradford, the Sooners went 7-5 in the regular season, but did salvage the year with a Sun Bowl victory over Jim Harbaugh’s Stanford team.
