The Oklahoma football Sooners remain unchanged at No.13 in Week 4 of the College Football Playoff rankings with one week to go in the 2023 regular season.

The Sooners take on TCU at home the day after Thanksgiving and are likely to remain where they are assuming they take care business against the unranked Horned Frogs.

Oklahoma remains the second-highest ranked Big 12 team in both the playoff rankings as well as the two weekly national polls. The Sooners are also ranked 13th in the Associated Press Top 25 and the Coaches Poll.

Texas (10-1), the one loss to Oklahoma, is the highest-ranked Big 12 team at No. 7 in the current CFP rankings. Oklahoma State and Kansas State, the Sooners’ two biggest challengers for a spot in the Big 12 Championship are currently ranked 19th and 20th in the playoff rankings.

There was a big change at the top of the playoff rankings with Washington (11-0) jumping Florida State for the No. 4 position in the rankings. No. 1 Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan remain in the top three spots, but that is sure to change with the Buckeyes and Wolverines playing at Michigan on Saturday. Florida State and Oregon are poised at No. 5 and 6, respectively, to move up should there be chaos in the top four spots over the next two weeks.

Texas, with a win at home on Saturday against Texas Tech would win the top seed in the Big 12 Championship against either Oklahoma State, Oklahoma or Kansas State depending on the outcomes of those games this weekend.

There will be two more College Football Playoff rankings before the top four spots are finalized after the conference championship games on Dec. 2.
