Not that it matters, but in 128 seasons of Oklahoma football, the Sooners have played 104 opponents at least once.

What does matter is the teams Oklahoma has beaten the most on the way to 934 all-time wins, sixth best in college football. Nearly 50 percent of those wins have come against six teams, and not so surprising all six are or were at one time members of the Big 12 Conference.

The team the Sooners have dominated the most over the years is the Iowa State Cyclones. In 107 games between OU and Iowa State, the Sooners have won 79 of them, lost just seven times and played to a tie twice. That computes out to a .909 winning percentage. Interestingly, two of those losses have come in the last six seasons.

In terms of winning percentage, the Baylor Bears would be second on the list of teams in terms of teams Oklahoma has dominated the most over the years with an overall record of 28-5 and a winning percentage of .844. What’s interesting about this series is that the Sooners won the first 19 games before losing 45-38 to the Bears in 2011. Since then, OU is 8-5 vs. Baylor, including the dramatic 34-31 comeback win in which the Sooners overcame a 25-point deficit.

Only two teams that Oklahoma has played at least 10 times own winning records against the Sooners. Texas is 63-50-5 (.534) against the Sooners in the Red River Rivalry series, although OU has won seven of the last 10 meetings. The other school with a sizeable won-lost advantage over Oklahoma is Notre Dame, which owns a 9-2 record against the Sooners.
