The Oklahoma football program has played 422 games against teams currently a part of the Power Five Conferences not named the Big 12 and won 278 or 66 percent of those games.

Of the 55 teams that make up the other four Power Five conferences, Oklahoma has a breakeven or winning record against 40 of them and has never played six of them.

The Sooners have played the most games against teams from the Southeastern Conference (156), but that number is skewed because Missouri and Texas A&M are former members of the Big 12. Oklahoma is a combined 85-33-5 all-time against those two teams. If you eliminate Mizzou and A&M, Oklahoma’s all-time record against teams from the SEC is 21-12 (.636).

A similar situation exists in the Big Ten, where Nebraska, another longtime conference rival of Oklahoma’s, has resided since 2011. The Sooners are 47-38-3 against Nebraska, two of those wins coming in the past two seasons, the only two times the two teams have played since the Cornhuskers departed from the Big 12. Against the rest of the teams from the Big Ten, the Sooners have fashioned a record of 16-7 (.696).

Colorado is expected to announce this week that it is rejoining the Big 12. For the past 13 years, the Buffaloes have been members of the Pac-12 Conference. Oklahoma is 40-17 all-time versus Colorado. The Sooners are 28-15-1 (.651) against the rest of the Pac-12.

In terms of winning percentage, with or without former Big 12 teams, Oklahoma has done best against the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Sooners are a combined 41-10 against teams from the ACC for a winning percentage of .788.

Oklahoma’s overall record vs. teams from the other Power 5 conferences

ACC: 41-10-1 (.788)

SEC: 106-45-5 (.692)

Pac-12: 68-32 -3 (.670)

Big Ten: 63-45-3 (.577)
