Oklahoma football: Top 5 “What if?” scenarios for the 2023 Sooner football season

These ladies and gentlemen, are the dog days of Summer. No Oklahoma football, sweltering heat, Summer league NBA…

Since we’re in the middle of the Summer grind, we decided to fire up the imagination and think about where we may find ourselves this Fall. More importantly, what might some of the questions be that Sooner Nation faces come the 2023-2024 Oklahoma football campaign.

You always hear that you can “What if?” stuff to death. Okay… well, they don’t play many Oklahoma football replays on ESPN Classic anymore, so it’s all I have. If you are a football nerd like me, judging by your article selection, you might think about stuff like this. In fact, the vast majority of every college football season is filled with talking heads on TV discussing “What if?” scenarios, trying to determine who will play who for which bowl game, who will win which award, and who will go where in the NFL Draft.

So, with that being said, let’s fire up the old imagination and think about the biggest “What if?” questions for the Oklahoma football program for this upcoming season.
