Oklahoma Football: What does the ideal 8-game SEC schedule look like for OU in 2024?

Have you ever considered who your favorite team would be if you were an SEC fan? C’mon now… I can’t be the only one. If I grew up in SEC country, particularly in the great State of Florida, I’d be a Gators fan. And what better way to kick in the door of the SEC and announce your presence than by going to the storied Swamp and beating the Gators?

The SEC wants Oklahoma and Texas to make a primetime splash into the SEC without feeding them to the giants. Wait to pull out your ‘We Want Bama’ signs. An introductory road win at the Swamp would be plenty loud. It’s on my college football bucket list, so I had to put it first.

I also have heard rumblings about a possible ‘Pod-system’ that reportedly could include the Gators in the Oklahoma football program ‘pod’ or group of every-year opponents. Game 1 of the Sooners SEC story begins against the Florida Gators in Gainesville.
