2025 Wide Receiver – Gracen Harris – Ennis, TX – COMMITTED

The Oklahoma football program has officially received its second commitment for the class of 2025. Ennis, Texas receiver Gracen Harris notified the Sooner coaching staff of his official commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners football program on Monday afternoon.

Gracen is a 4-star wide receiver from Ennis high school in Ennis, Texas. He was a Texas District 5 5A-II first-team selection during his sophomore season. He was named the Texas District 8 5A-II offensive newcomer of the year as a freshman.

The speedy wideout stands 5’10″tall and weighs in at 170 pounds. He chose the Sooners over Baylor, Florida State, and Mississippi State offers. Gracen is another Jacquaize Pettaway-type wide receiver known for blowing by defenders with his elite-level speed. He has shown an above-average ability to run routes as well. His highlights on HUDL include winning one on one matchups against corners and high-pointing the ball well in jump ball situations.

OU receivers coach, and recruiting guru Emmett Jones, was the primary recruiter for Gracen Harris. If you want him, just send Coach Jones.

Gracen joins 4-star Rock Hill, Texas quarterback Kevin Sperry as the second commitment for the Sooners in the class of 2025.

The upcoming months will be telling for the Sooners 2024 recruiting class. 5-star receiver Bryant Wesco (Midlothian, TX) is the prime offensive weapon the Sooners want to add in 2024. The Sooners are in a deep recruiting battle for Wesco’s 2024 commitment against the TCU Horned Frogs. Hopefully, Coach Jones can work some of his magic and gain a commitment from Wesco. He has a big fight on his hands against former Sooner receiver and current TCU WR coach Malcolm Kelley for winning the approval of the 5-star Midlothian receiver.

Gracen Harris is also an extremely talented baseball player, as seen by his offer to play baseball at OU. In fact, the multi-sport offer is reported to have been the closing piece for the receiver. “” had taken the visit to Oklahoma one week before I got my baseball offer,”” Harris said. “when a week later, I got that baseball offer, and that sealed the deal,””Gracen Harris said in an interview with Sooners Illustrated.

Sooner Nation knows how unique football players who dabble in baseball can be. Remember a guy named Kyler Murray?

Welcome to Norman, Mr. Harris. Sooner Nation is glad to have you. We know you’re bringing a Storm with you!
