No. 1-ranked Oklahoma softball swept its Red River rivalry series with Texas over the weekend, and on Monday the Sooners swept Big 12 weekly honors.

Tiare Jennings was named Big 12 Player of the Week and her teammate, pitcher Jordy Bahl took home Pitcher of the Week honors.

Both played major roles in Oklahomaโ€™s three-game sweep of the Longhorns as the Sooners improved to 33-1 on the season and a perfect 6-0 in the Big 12.

In addition to being named Player of the Week in the conference, Jennings also received national recognition as Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week.

Jennings collected eight hits, eight runs batted in and hit .727 in the three games with the Longhorns. Her stellar weekend performance included a pair of home runs, giving a team-high eight for the season, and a 1.364 slugging percentage. The two-time All-Big 12 First-Team selection went four-for-four in the Sooners 10-2 win in the Texas series finale on Sunday. It was the fifth four-hit game in her collegiate career at OU and the first this season.

Bahl, a right-handed sophomore starter and former No. 1 recruit, appeared in all three games against Texas and was the winning pitcher in two of the games. In 8.1 innings pitched against Texas, Bahl allowed just one run โ€” a leadoff home run in Game 1 with the Longhorns, two hits (an 0.81 ERA in three games) and an .081 opponent batting average for the weekend. The Sooner sophomore improved her season record to 10-1.

The weekly conference honor is the first this season for both Jennings and Bahl, but they have been multiple winners over the Oklahoma career. Jennings has been named Player of the Week in the conference six previous times, and for Bahl, this is her fourth time being named Pitcher of the Week.
