Oklahoma football: Countdown to kick Kyler Murray days away

The countdown has now reached just one day to go until Oklahoma football and the UTEP Miners square off in the Palace on the Prarie! Today we take a look at Oklahoma great Kyler Murray! The 2018 Heisman trophy winner, and the quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals.

The Sooner legend was a two-sport athlete at Oklahoma playing both baseball and football, which led to him being drafted both ninth overall in the MLB draft by the Oakland Athletics, as well as first overall in the NFL draft.

Kyler would follow in the footsteps of Baker Mayfield, which seemed like a daunting task for anyone, as Baker had one of the most prolific careers in the history of the sport. But Kyler came in and had an even better season than Baker’s Heisman campaign.

In the NFL Kyler has not slowed down one bit, and has already been named to two pro bowls so far in his young career, and was heading to serious MVP candidacy before injury a season ago. Murray just like in high school and the NFL has been doing it with his arms and his legs.

He will also be doing it, as a much richer man after signing one of the highest-paid contracts in NFL history, and will also be having fun with his buddy Hollywood Brown once again, as the Cardinals traded for the talented pass-catcher.

Its really here! Sooner football will be back tomorrow at 2:30 CST! Oklahoma will take on UTEP! The last time, they did that with a left-handed starter at QB they hoisted the National Championship trophy! Could something like that really be on the table in 2022? Were about to find out!
