Oklahoma football: Key player for each Big 12 opponent Sooners will face this season

The Big 12 Conference is unique among the major conferences in that ranked teams like the Oklahoma football Sooners must face every team in the league. No team gets a pass.

The Big 12, as it always does, will feature some elite playmakers in the 2022 season.

In early July, the preseason All-Big 12 teams were announced, and it was widely spread out between the Big 12 foes. Baylor and Kansas State led the way on the All-Big 12 Offense, having three players each on the list.

On the All-Big 12 Defense, Kansas State led all Big 12 teams with three players. Oklahoma State, Baylor, and West Virginia had two players on the list.

The most surprising note taken from the All-Big 12 Offense and Defense teams: No Sooners were on the list. Although, Oklahoma had punter Michael Turk, who was on the All-Big 12 Special Teams, and Dillon Gabriel was Preseason Newcomer of the Year.
