No. 2 — Sam Bradford

Sam Bradford had one of the best seasons in NCAA  history in 2008, when he led the Sooners to the BCS National Championship game. Oklahoma was on a scoring tear, and Bradford’s arm led the way.

He threw 50 touchdowns in 2008, an absolutely incredible figure. Bradford would take home the Heisman Trophy that season. Despite being projected to go No, 1  overall, or No, 2 in the 2009 NFL Draft, he decided to return for his redshirt junior season at Oklahoma.

In the season opener in 2009, Bradford suffered an AC joint sprain, then re-injured it against Texas. The theme would continue for Bradford throughout his NFL career. He was considered a can’t-miss type of prospect as he had everything the scouts were looking for. Size, arm strength, accuracy and high football IQ. When Bradford was on the field, he would often flash those qualities but could never seem to stay healthy. Still,he made well over $100 million as an NFL quarterback Not too shabby. But certainly one of those “what-if careers”.
