Eight Oklahoma baseball players have received 2022 postseason All-Big 12 honors.

The entire Sooner infield, starting catcher, two starting pitchers and starting center fielder were recognized with postseason honors.

Redshirt sophomore shortstop Peyton Graham and starting pitcher Jake Bennett were both First-Team All-Big 12 selections and redshirt sophomore first baseman Blake Robertson was voted Newcomer of the Year.

Robertson was also named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, joining Sooner teammates Tanner Tredaway and relief pitcher Michael Trevin.

Three other Sooners were named to the All-Freshman Team for the 2022 season: Third baseman Wallace Clark, second baseman Jackson Nicklaus and infielder/starting pitcher Cade Horton.

Redshirt sophomore catcher Jimmy Crooks was recognized as an honorable mention selection.

Robertson transferred to OU from Cowley College in Arkansas City, Kansas, and leads the Sooners with a batting average of .338, 10th best in the Big 12.

Graham, a redshirt sophomore, is the Oklahoma leader with 14 home runs, 53 RBI, 61 runs scored and 27 stolen bases. He is third on the team with a .335 batting average. Bennett, a redshirt sophomore, has been the ace of the OU starting pitchers this season. He owns a record of 6-3 with an ERA of 3.81 in 14 starts.

The Sooners finished the regular season with an overall record of 33-20, their best record since the 2013 season, when they were 43-21 overall. Their 15-9 record in the Big 12 represented just the second time in the last five complete seasons that OU has finished above .500 against conference opponents. It was also the Sooners’ most Big 12 wins and highest finish in the standings (tied with two other teams for second place) in the last nine full seasons.

Oklahoma is the No. 3 seed in the Big 12 Baseball Championship, which begins on Wednesday at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
