NFL Draft guide: Oklahoma football edition
Michael Woods, WR
Tim’s Projection: Undrafted Free Agent (priority
6 feet, 1-inch, 198 pounds
Michael Woods transferred to Oklahoma from Arkansas and spent just one season in Norman before deciding to go pro. Woods is a talented young WR, but probably jumped the gun deciding to go this year in a class that is loaded at the position. In most years, this young man likely would have been selected, but it’s hard to see that happening for him this season. Woods scored a solid 4.55 40-yard dash at the NFL combine and made a few nice grabs during the session.
Woods can develop into a solid WR third option in the NFL and contribute. It will not take long for Woods to be signed after the draft. A team I would look at is the Dallas Cowboys. They need help at WR, he is from Jerry Jones’ Alma Mater, Arkansas, originally, and the Riley-Jones connection could help him, plus he is from Texas.
