This is the sixth installment in a series previewing and breaking down the Oklahoma football position groups for the 2022 season. 

As Oklahoma gets prepared for spring practices, beginning on March 22, and the annual spring game a month later on April 22, we take a look at the Sooners weapons at the wide receiver, tight end and H-back positions.

Oklahoma’s prolific success on offense in recent seasons has been largely associated with exceptional talent in the receiving corps. That will not change under new head coach Brent Venables.

The Sooners are losing some key receiving threats, such as WRs Jaden Haselwood and Mario Williams, H-back Jeremiah Hall and TE Austin Stogner. The cupboard wasn’t left completely bare, however, as the Sooners are bringing back some important pieces for offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, in addition to some elite young talent as part of the 2022 freshmen class.
