Sooners’ injury report vs. Kansas State, Week 5

The following players are listed as “out” on the injury report for the Oklahoma-Kansas State game on Saturday: WR Cody Jackson (medical issue), WR Theo Wease (lower leg, out indefinitely), DL Jalen Redmond (knee), CB Woodi Washington (injury undisclosed, out indefinitely). Three other Sooners are listed as “questionable” for Saturday: WR Brian Darby (undisclosed injury), LB Danny Stutsman (undisclosed injury) and S Delarrin Turner-Yell (undisclosed injury). Two players are listed as “doubtful”: DE Nathan Rawlins-Kibonge (undisclosed injury) and CB Ryan Peoples (ankle).

Sooners vs. Kansas State, odds, spread, over/under & betting pick Week 5

Although the Sooners sit 4-0 and ranked No. 6 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 (No. 4 in the Coaches Poll), they have to put together a complete game against their three previous FBS opponents. Moreover, they have failed to cover the spread in any of the three games this season for which there was a line.

The Oklahoma defense has played well in OU’s four games, and has come up with game-winning defensive stops in three of the four Sooner victories. The offense has underperformed, except in the blowout win over Western Carolina, an FCS school. The question is, will this be the week that Oklahoma finally puts it all together on the offensive side? A forecast for rain showers during the game could also play a big factor in the outcome.

Kansas State is battling quarterback injuries at the first and second level, which could put the ball in the hands of the Cats’ third-string quarterback for at least part of the game.

I’m predicting an Oklahoma win on Saturday, 34-21.
