No. 2 — Sophomore wide receiver Marvin Mims

Only a freshman, Marvin Mims burst on the college football scene a year ago and performed like a seasoned upperclassman. He led the Sooner receiving corps with 610 receiving yards on 37 catches, including nine touchdown receptions. The nine touchdown catches tied for No. 1 in the Big 12 and set an Oklahoma freshman record.

A legitimate big-play threat, four of Mims’ nine touchdowns were for at least 45 yards.

He was the first receiver in OU football history to receive Freshman All-America status.

His best game in his first OU season was in the Sooners’ 33-14 victory over TCU. Mims caught four passes in that game for 132 yards and two touchdowns. His four receptions averaged 33 yards per catch.

Spencer Rattler will be looking for Mims a lot in 2021, and for good reason.
