Creed Humphrey was a second-round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs. I consider his draft a draw, simply because the consensus was that he’d be a first round pick. I’m not sure how he fell to the late second round.

Humphrey was a consistent piece to some elite OU offensive lines. He received praise and drew rave reviews at both his Pro Day and the Senior Bowl. His athleticism for his size drew the ire of several organizations, only for him to be passed over by most of them.

With that being said, Humphrey inherited the best situation possible. The Chiefs have been to back-to-back Super Bowls and are quarterbacked by arguably the best player in the NFL. He gets to play alongside a fellow Sooner legend, Orlando Brown Jr., and will be set up to have a prosperous NFL future under Andy Reid’s tutelage. Moreover, he is at a need position on the Chiefs’ draft board, which gives the former OU star a good opportunity to be a starter in his rookie season.
