Oklahoma football: Sooners’ Top 5 NFL draft classes since 2000

With the 2021 NFL Draft just a little over a month away, it got us thinking about some of the terrific Oklahoma football draft classes since the 2000 national championship season.

Oklahoma football has been a powerhouse national program for decades and a product of that is producing a wide array of NFL talent over the years.

Since the first NFL Draft in 1936, Oklahoma has had a player drafted in almost every NFL Draft. That includes numerous first-rounders throughout the years, a testament to the long-term success and national attention afforded to the Sooner football program.

This has especially been true since the new millennium began, The Sooners have put out recognizable names year after year, and that will only continue.

The most recognizable name among OU players drafted into the NFL since 2000 is Adrian Peterson, the seventh player selected in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Here are the top-five Oklahoma NFL Draft classes of the past two decades in ascending order:
