You know the start to the Oklahoma football season is drawing excitedly near when they start announcing the times and TV schedules.
We now know the times and viewing schedules for three of the Sooners 10 scheduled games for the 2020 season,
Oklahoma’s season opener with Missouri State on Sept. 12 will be an evening kickoff with a 6 p.m. CT start. The game will be available through pay-per-view only on participating Oklahoma providers and nationally via participating satellite and telecom distributors, according to information released on Tuesday by the OU athletic department.
The online pay-per-view price for Oklahoma-Missouri State is set at $54.99.
The university is also planning on allowing up to 21,000 fans to attend the Sept. 12 home game at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium and the Sept. 26 game, also in Norman, against Kansas State. Social distancing protocols and masking will be required for all who attend the Oklahoma home games in person.
The Sept. 26 home game with Kansas State, which will be the Sooners’ second scheduled game of the abbreviated 2020 season, will be an 11 a.m. CT kickoff and will be televised by FOX.
The annual Oklahoma-Texas Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas will be played on Oct. 12 and will also be aired on FOX, beginning at 11 a.m. CT.
The times and broadcast information for Oklahoma’s remaining seven games in the 2020 season will be announced at a later time and closer to the game dates.
The Sooners have five home dates this season. In addition to the September home games with Missouri State and Kansas State, OU will host Kansas on Nov. 7, Oklahoma State on Nov. 21 and Baylor on Dec. 5 to close out the regular season. Oklahoma will play no home games in the month of October.
