Texas Tech is just 6-21 against Oklahoma all-time, and the Sooners have won in their last four trips to Lubbock, including an historic 66-59 showdown in 2016 between OU’s Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes of Texas Tech.

Alan Bowman is likely to be back in the starter’s role at quarterback for the Red Raiders after missing most of the season a year ago. The last time Bowman faced the Sooners, he completed 21 of 26 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns.

Oklahoma has scored 49 or more points in each of the last five meetings with Texas Tech. If the Sooners are able to put that many points on the scoreboard this season, it is highly unlikely the Red Raiders will outscore OU. Oklahoma should win this one fairly handily.
