Two Oklahoma football players have been named to the Associated Press 2020 Preseason All-America Team.

Redshirt junior center Creed Humphrey was named to the first-team offense and redshirt sophomore placekicker Gabe Brkic was named to the preseason second-team offense.

The 47-member voting panel considered all Division I players regardless of whether they are on teams that will not be playing in the fall.

Twenty-three members of the AP Preseason first and second teams will not be playing football this fall.

Humphrey, from Shawnee, Oklahoma,  has already been named to the Walter Camp Foundation Preseason All-America First Team, the Sporting New Preseason All-America First Team and the Preseason All-Big 12 First Team.

The anchor of one of the best offensive lines in college football, Humphrey was the Big 12 Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year last season, as well as a second-team All-American and First-Team All-Big 12. He was a finalist last season for the Rimington Trophy, presented annually to the best center in college football.

Brkic was named earlier this summer to the Sporting News Preseason All-America First Team and Preseason All-Big 12. He was the only Division I player nationally a year ago to make all of his field goal and extra-point attempts. He was a perfect 17 for 17 in field-goal tries and 52 of 52 in extra points. He was named to the Freshman All-America team last season by the Football Writers Association of America.

The Sooner kicker, from Chardon, Ohio, also handles kickoff duties for Oklahoma. Fifty-nine of his 106 kickoffs last season were touchbacks. Brkic was a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award in 2019 and has been named to the Groza Award watch list for this season.
