If it needed any more motivation, Oklahoma football got some great bulletin board material from LSU linebacker Patrick Queen during a press conference prior to Saturday’s Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

The LSU defender showed little respect to the Oklahoma football offense during an interview with Brandon Drum of 247 sports, saying the Sooners offensive line and running back (Kennedy Brooks) were “not great” and LSU would “dominate” the Sooners offense on Saturday.

While Queen did have some nice things to say about both CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Hurts, calling them both “great”, the message in his short soundbite seemed fairly clear.

“The o-line’s not great, the back’s not great, but they still make it work,” Queen said.. “…I feel like, man, with this game plan we got, we are gonna dominate them.”

The Sooners come into the game with the No. 6 scoring offense in the country at 43.2 points per game, the No. 2 total offense in the country at 554.2 and the No. 11 rushing offense in the country.

While it’s true the Tigers are coming off a pair of impressive defensive performances against Texas A&M and Georgia, LSU has played just one top 10 offense this season in Alabama, which rolled up 541 total yards and 41 points in a narrow 46-41 victory for the Tigers.

On the ground game note, the Tigers have faced just one ground game ranked higher than the Sooners in Ole Miss, which put up 402 yards on the ground and averaged 9.1 per rush against the Tigers earlier this year.

The Sooners have dropped back-to-back games against SEC opponents in the playoffs, but neither came because of offensive output. OU has averaged right at 40 points per game in those two losses.
