Which games could best help Oklahoma football’s College Football Playoff chances?

Oklahoma football is done with bye weeks from here on out. There’s no doubt left which college football team the Sooner faithful will be cheering on every weekend until the end of the season.

However, there are plenty of other games going on this weekend that will have a direct impact on the Sooners’ future when it comes to the College Football Playoff.

Here (by kickoff time) are a few games to keep an eye on this Saturday (all times Central)

Ohio State at Maryland 11 a.m.

Team to root for: Maryland. Yeah, we know this one isn’t going to happen, but Sooner fans can always dream, right? The Big 10 currently has two undefeated teams and the Buckeyes have been beating the pants off of every opponent they have played so far so an Ohio State loss would certainly sweeten the pot for Oklahoma fans hoping for as much chaos as possible in that conference to the north.

Remember, after all, it was a shocking Buckeye loss to Purdue last year that ended up kicking the Sooners up into the College Football Playoff, so stranger things have happened. (Still, don’t tie up too much emotional energy in this one because it’s probably not gonna happen).
