Jalen Hurts did what Jalen Hurts does and Oklahoma football did what it does — win — ringing up milestone victory No. 900 as the Sooners demolished undermanned Texas Tech 55-16 on Saturday.

Hurts passed for 413 yards and three touchdowns, 308 of that total coming in the first half as the Sooners took a 34-10 advantage into the locker room at halftime. The Alabama transfer also ran for 70 yards and collected a rushing touchdown to give him four for the day in a little over two and a half quarters of work.

With Hurts directing the offensive charge, Oklahoma scored on all six of its first-half possessions and eight of its first nine. Hurts’ 413 yards passing was a career high.

The Sooners totaled 642 yards of offense in the game, the fourth time they have exceeded 600 yards this season and the first time in school history they have done it in four straight games.

A crowd of 84,416 watched on at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on an 80-degree, overcast fall afternoon, the 126th consecutive sellout at the facility Sooner fans affectionately refer to as the Palace on the Prairie.

Here are a dozen other notable numbers that tell the story of the game:

0 — Points allowed in the first quarter by Oklahoma in its first four games. The Sooners have outscored their opponents 55-0 in the first quarter.

10 — Number of seasons in which Oklahoma has scored at least 38 points against Texas Tech.
