Earlier this week we identified six signature wins from Bob Stoops’ 238 games as Oklahoma football coach. The Sooners won 190, or 80 percent, of those games and 10 conference championships with some of the best teams in college football over an 18-year time span.

In 18 seasons of OU football under Stoops, the Sooners failed to win 10 games just four times (in 1999, Stoops inaugural season in Norman, 2005, 2009 and 2014) and never had a losing season.

Stoops’ teams won 10 or more games 14 times, 11 or more 12 times, 12 or more six times and, in the team’s 2000 national championship season strung together 13 victories without a loss.

That is a bunch of wins and a lot of winning teams. So what were the five best teams of the Bob Stoops coaching era?

Here are the five I believe were the best of the Stoops era (1999-2016), the winningest time frame in the 123-year history of Sooner football.
