Oklahoma completed a three-game road sweep over Kansas with a 6-2 victory on Saturday, extending the consecutive-win streak to 15 games and 18 of the last 20.

Paige Lowary went the distance in the circle for the Sooners in Saturday’s series finale, posting her 10th win of the season and her fourth complete game. The junior left-hander gave up just three hits and struck out three. After yielding a two-out single in the opening inning, she retired the next 13 hitters she faced over the next four and a third innings.

The victory on Saturday was Oklahoma’s ninth consecutive Big 12 win without a loss. Coupled with Oklahoma State’s loss to Iowa State on Saturday, the Sooners have taken over sole possession of first place in the conference standings.

The three-game sweep of Kansas gives the 8th-ranked Sooners 24 consecutive wins over Big 12 opponents, the longest conference win streak in OU softball history. Their 9-0 start in the conference is the fifth time they have gone through the first nine games in league play without a loss.

  • The Sooners slugged a program-record six home runs in Friday’s middle game of the series, paving the way for a 16-7 five-inning victory decided by run-rule. Alissa Dalton and Kylie Lundberg hit the first home runs of their career in the game. Dalton had a career-high three RBI and Lundberg drove in four, also a career high.
  • OU had two stolen bases on Saturday and seven in the three games with Kansas. That gives them 80 for the season, which ties for seventh most in a single season in school history.
