It happened almost that quickly. With five minutes remaining in the game, the Sooners were down by six points. Four and a half minutes later, it was Oklahoma by five. Then with just a fraction over one second to go, a 25-foot prayer shot by Texas freshman Andrew Jones swished threw the net ending the game and  leaving Oklahoma’s night in total heartbreak.

There were a lot of firsts in this one to go along with plenty of numerical storylines. We’ve pulled out a dozen of the most compelling ones for you:

5 – Texas led Oklahoma by double digits five times in the game. The Longhorns’ largest lead was 11 points, in the second half.

6 – Total field-goal attempts taken by Oklahoma’s season scoring leader Jordan Woodard vs. Texas. He made just one of them, a three-point dagger that tied the game at 73.

7 – Number of consecutive games in which Kameron McGusty has scored in double figures. He had 21 points at Texas.

9 – Oklahoma has lost nine of its last 11 games.

10 – Texas held a 10-rebound margin over the Sooners, including 14 boards on the offensive glass. The Longhorns rebounding advantage was 43-33 for the game.

22 – Points scored by Oklahoma off of Texas turnovers.

29Kristian Doolittle led the Sooners in scoring with a career- and game-high 29 points. That is the most points scored in a single game by an Oklahoma freshman since Tommy Mason-Griffin scored 30 in 2010.

34 – Texas had the most size and length in the paint, but it was the Sooners that scored the most points at the rim (34 to 32).

49 – Total number of personal fouls called in the game (24 on Oklahoma; 25 on Texas).

67 – Oklahoma points (out of 83 total) scored against Texas by freshmen and sophomores.

34:32 – Time in the 40-minute game in which Texas led Oklahoma.

113 – Points scored by OU’s fab freshmen Kameron McGusty and Kristian Doolittle in the past three games.
