Meals On Wheels: Oklahoma Adds Food Truck

"Oklahoma has found a creative way to make sure it complies with the new NCAA rule that allows athletes to receive unlimited snacks: a food truck. Sooners athletic director Joe Castiglione told ESPN.com that the vehicle the school is in the process of purchasing will serve as a solution to make sure athletes can get what they want when they want it. “We don’t have facilities in all the places they would need to be, so the idea is to have a mobile fueling station and perhaps some additional trailers that have refrigeration capabilities that can operate as a prep kitchen of sorts,” Castiglione said. "Ask Mike Stoops about Dominique Alexander’s first year at Oklahoma and the Sooners’ demanding defensive coordinator answers as if he’s eating cotton candy. “I don’t know if I’ve seen a linebacker play that well as a true freshman as he did,” Stoops said of the 2013 Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year from Booker T. Washington. “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a guy play that well that early.” Now, ask Alexander about his rookie season in Norman. It’s like he just crunched down on a Warhead. “I’d give myself a C-minus or a D, to be honest with you,” he said. Read more at the Tulsa World"

The good news is that the majority of the Big XII is in favor of giving fans the matchups that they would love to see. However, you may be a bit surprised at who was for and who was against it. NCAA Board approves Division I autonomy proposal

"The NCAA on Thursday approved a new governance structure for Division I that will give the five power conferences and their 65 members a level of legislative autonomy never seen before in the history of the organization. The 16-2 vote by the Division I Board of Directors, which took place at NCAA headquarters, is subject to a 60-day veto period before the new governance structure is official. It is not expected enough schools will submit an override to put the legislation in jeopardy. The dissenting votes came from Ivy League rep and Dartmouth President Phil Hanlon and Delaware President Patrick Harker, the representative of the Colonial Athletic Conference.
