1. Baylor Bears
Baylors has looked like the best team in the Big XII for several weeks in a row. To be their offense puts the on a whole other level than their competition. I am ready to see how they play against the tougher competition the Big XII has the offer, but for now Bryce Petty and company are my pick to win the conference.
2. Texas Longhorns
I may catch flack for saying this, but after their collapse in preconference play the Longhorns have really stepped their game up. They have been impressive so far in conference play and after the win over OU they may be the team to beat right now in the Big XII.
3. Oklahoma Sooners
While I am a Sooner fan and I would love to put them above Texas at the moment I do not think the deserve to be there. The Sooners played lights out against Texas Tech and that has Sooner Nation buzzing. Until they are able to string together a couple games playing at the same high level on offense; however, I am not going to put them above the Longhorns.
4. Texas Tech
This Tech team is a very high quality team led by Coach Kliff Kingsbury. I believe they will have success throughout the rest of the season and I also believe that they are a program on the rise look first this program to make some noise down the road with all of their good young players.
5. Oklahoma State
Mike Gundy deciding to go with whatever quarterback he feels better about in the moment may be the this football teams death sentence. I am a big believer in going with one quarterback and sticking with him.
6. Kansas State
Honestly the Wildcats have not been good this season, but they have been better than the people I will rank behind them. They were able to limit Baylor to 35 points so theres a sort of win in itself.
7. WVU
West Virginia has a decent team they have just been unable to play at a consistently high level. This is a rebuilding year for the Mountaineers and I think that things look brighter in the years to come.
8. TCU
This team has probably one of the best defense in the Big XII, but they are unable to make up for their terrible offense. Hopefully TCU will be able to get something going and get a couple wins before the end of the season, but with the offense playing like it is I do not see that happening
9. Kansas
You can honestly put either Kansas or Iowa State here. Kansas is not a good football team, but hey there is always basketball season right? Andrew Wiggins anyone?
10. Iowa State
Iowa State has not played well this season, but maybe they can turn it around and at least win a conference game or 2.
