Roy Finch

Yes, Roy Finch was in Bob Stoops’ doghouse for the past two seasons, but give the young man credit. He stuck around and kept working and fighting. He is a very fast, very athletic and very gifted football player. He could be starting for any number of teams in the nation right now, but stuck it out at OU, and every so often, he gets a chance to show what he can do.

This game was one of those times.

With Damien Williams suspended for the game, and Brennan Clay struggling to find running room, Stoops gave Roy Finch and Keith Ford a chance to run the ball to see what they could do. Ford looked great, and he will be the future at running back for the Oklahoma Sooners.

However, today belonged to Roy Finch and he only touched the ball nine times. He ran for 76 yards on eight carries, including a long of 48. He caught one pass for a 29 yard touchdown, where he made a number of players miss him as he juked and jived all the way into the end zone. It makes you wonder why he doesn’t get more touches.
